Joe Mannix: A Town by the Sea (Bongo Beat)
From the New York folk underground, Joe
Mannix emerges as one of the most refreshing voices amid his peers.
His sound ventures into such territory covered by the likes of Warren
Zevon all the way into more modern sound of David Gray. On this
second solo effort, Mannix manages to delve into depths of melancholy,
while having the facility to reflect and remain optimistic at times,
similar to that of Bob Dylans musical character. A
City by the Sea is a timeless piece of musical craftsmanship, one
designed to stand the test of time. - Janelle Greenwood
